Nashville E-Waste Recycler Elevates Efforts to Reduce Electronic Waste

The reuse of components in old computers in manufacture of new computers will reduce the environmental impact by limiting the amount of e-waste that ends up in landfills, he added.

Nashville-headquartred Novatech has reaffirmed its commitment to reduce e-waste by refurbishing over 200 computers for Exmouth Community College.

The company, after working with the college authorities, proposed the refurbishment plan for around 200 computers, which were due for replacement after four years of use. The company noted that the proposed plan will help to reduce landfill electronic waste. Further, it would be  more environment-friendly and cost-effective, the company noted.

Mark Tomlinson,Head of Managed Accounts, Novatech noted that the proposal testifies the company’s commitment to reduce the throw-away culture within the technology sector by promoting refurbishment or recycling of old electronic devices. This commitment is evident in all of the company’s business operations, Tomlinson said. The reuse of components in old computers in manufacture of new computers will reduce the environmental impact by limiting the amount of e-waste that ends up in landfills, he added.

Novatech had recently announced acquisition of Lafayette, Louisiana-headquartered managed print servicer Copy & Camera, as part of its efforts to expand into new markets. This is the third acquisition by the company in 2019.

Novatech is a key provider of hardware support services to schools, colleges and universities for more than three decades. The company is the major IT infrastructure service provider of Exmouth Community College.
